The 'sea of ideas' is a vast interconnected structure of which all ideas are a part. It forms an idea environment. Ideas are linked by associations and enclose sacred beings.

Basically, the 'sea of ideas' transcends all attempts at categorization, yet differentiating it though categorization, labels, and definitions lets us deal with it in a rational manner. Imperfect as this process may be, it provides logical structures making rationality from the seemingly irrational.
