A Pyramid of Ideas |
My ideas
[my meanings; my forms; my idea constructions]
> My beliefs > My thoughts From your ideas arises your worldview. A belief is an idea you have decided to identify with and own. Your thoughts emerge from your beliefs. When you adopt an idea as your own, it becomes a belief. Your beliefs then radiate ideas. Those ideas coming from beliefs are thoughts. Those thoughts become a stream of thought. You are not your ideas, but the consciousness that holds them - the witness. I think you need to know what you believe. You need to know where you stand. You need to be able to understand and express this in words. One of the best techniques for accomplishing this is to write out your beliefs and outline them. Collectively your beliefs make up your belief system. Your belief system feeds ideas into your stream of thought. Ideas come together into structures (beliefs) that can be experienced and which radiate messages. Your messages and those of others are translated by your beliefs into experiences. Beliefs are the motivating power behind thoughts.
