Your corresponding alternate selves may live in different homes or even other cities and have taken different paths than you on their alternate Earths. They are not you, but related to you as say you are related to your relatives. Your alternate selves have unique beliefs and thoughts though there will be correspondences between their ideas and your own.
Concentrating too much on alternate selves can cause you to lose focus on your own actual life. In idealism you concentrate on ideal versions of your self and your situation. The difference between the ideal and the actual can be a source of conflict.
